Cindy Gray...

Cindy Gray

Cindy Gray was born and raised in Washington.  Her first artistic effort was drawing family members while on vacation as a child.  Although she continued with her art in high school and part of college, she eventually focused on becoming a dental assistant which, as Cindy explains, “has a very artistic, creative side to it, so it was a good fit for quite some time.”

Cindy went on to teach in college dental clinics for several years.  After having several attacks of various neurological symptoms, she was finally diagnosed with MS. Though she continued working in dentistry for several more years, it became an ongoing struggle and eventually she retired from full-time work.

Since then she has returned to the world of art. Cindy states, “I missed working with my hands and creating!”  She began doing more drawings.  “It felt so good!” Cindy says, “and that childhood "silly dream" I had of being an artist has resurfaced, and with a vengeance!”

“Even though my path in life hasn't been so easy,” explains Cindy, “I have truly found that some challenges in life are blessings in disguise!   I know it is a cliche, but for me... I am so thankful to be right where I am in life right now!  I am throwing myself into my artwork and loving every minute of this new journey that I am on.”
